Marine tank with Bamboo Shark suggestions? - largest shark by line
I had a marine aquarium one years living with a brown stripe bamboo sharks, they hatched in April 2006. My car is 4'x18 "x18" and has a rough substrate resemble small white deposits or crushed shells. There is a powerhead in the tank to an external heat exchanger, a slotted spoon, a wing and a connected sub-gravel filter is not connected to an outlet sensor, only the airlines. There is a small amount of live rock, 2 goby, a bream of butter and a hermit crab, in the place of research and tanks.
I strongly recommend this configuration, the filter as we are behind the tank, but I want to improve the configuration of the container for the welfare of the sharks, and perhaps a few friends over fish. (I hope to add the sea star, but was told that the shark could eat someone / confirm deny this?) Can. I've got before a bigger tank, probably 6 'or 8'x 2'x2.
I would like some suggestions, preferably with a saltwater aquarium experience (not necessarily in bamboo sharks).
Thank you!

The best answer I is on the grounds that want to give the best for the fish to start for you, in search of a public aquarium or zoo port facilities that can take the shark with his hands. A bamboo sharks reach a size of 3.5 "and would not be comfortable in less than 400 gallons. The constant reservoir x 8 'x 2' 2 'that you would consider too small for the fish. It would be at least 4 times that size, a quality of life for all, and have 8 times the size, it would be preferable, and only for the shark, let alone a fish can live with that.
Sharks are really best left for large utility companies, because their needs.
The best advice I can give to keep saltwater aquarium, which is usually read, read, read. Find as many books on this subject and can pay through them. Books on Web sites in general, but some sites can provide information and valuable advice, as well. Find out if a local aquarium club in Yur. When to go to some meetings and see if it is a member or two with Marinand experience of the tank. You would be happy to serve you and the answer to your question on the basis of experience. They also have books that probably willing to pay!
Good luck with the tank! :)
I agree with the magic man .... that the needs of the sharks (just to start, not counting when I large) a minimum of 170 gallons to ...... the inclusion of a large (38 "long) and can live for many years .... it really a donation to a zoo or a nature area, we have a place called Butterfly Pavilion in Denver, where they show that children and families of wild animals .
As the size of the tank .... Sharks have particular needs in terms of size and shape of their tanks ... they require a deposit of a higher order, birds ... need space to swim, because sharks are able to suck water through their gills, swim, and the force pushes the water through them .... if not swim, can not breathe ... Is likely to be well with him if he is still small, but if you ask about 6.8 "long, until it's time to try to find a new home.
Good luck, my dear.
When the shark is probably the starfish and crabs and fish eat small enough to fit into the mouth. Bigger is) better for marine tanks (usually better than the highest due to the increased surface area, and I also raise a sink to your fridge, filter and skimmer, usually as the Sharks to Call for admission and the number of gallons of all. The substrate seems quite thick and irritated in the belly of the shark, as he is an inhabitant is low, but since they keep the long term, I see how it would be important. Eels, girl, Cardinal squirrelfihes, groupers, red mullet, gobies, monkeys, hawksfishes, fish, bats, spinecheeks, soilderfishes, snapper, sand perch, and others have reported that good fellow Shark Tank you are looking for in this area (but ask some they are larger and therefore not in a small container) will fit. Others point Happiness
